Merlot is probably one of the most widely spread and cultivated grapes in the world and can finds an ideal microclimate on Castenedolo hills.

Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks with the skin left for a certain amount of time there. The Santa Giustina Merlot aging is in French oak barriques for 12 months.

The vineyard Santa Giustina was purchased to stop the expansion of the clay mine which, for several years, contributed in destroying one of the most ancient grapevine areas of the hill. For this reason Peri Bigogno is very emotionally linked to this wine.

Colour: clear, dark ruby red.
